At the end of this course, the students; 1) Interpret the architectural program and to generate a conceptual framework. 2) Analyze socio-cultural data, environmental relations, urban context, functional and spatial requirements for the project. 3) Establish and develop the architectural relationship between space and context. 4) Learn to design public and private space relations by considering urban design issues and environmental data. 5) While determining the tectonic, structural and program organization of the building, students can develop creative solutions for the design question. 6) Analyze construction techniques, structural solutions and application processes of local and current materials in line with spatial requirements and apply them in the project solution process. 7) Develop the ability to express their design ideas and architectural projects both conceptually and technically.

COURSE DEFINITION
Within the scope of the course, students are expected to develop solutions with a contemporary approach to a multifunctional program to settle within an urban fabric in the city center. In the design process, which will start with preliminary studies on urban readings and daily practices, aimed to re-discuss the public space-private space concepts in the context of current issues, and to include experiments on social and spatial sustainability and construction techniques.
