At the end of this course, the students; 1) Interpret the architectural program and to generate a conceptual framework. 2) Analyze socio-cultural data, environmental relations, urban context, functional and spatial requirements for the project. 3) Establish and develop the architectural relationship between space and context. 4) Learn to design public and private space relations by considering urban design issues and environmental data. 5) Determine the construction technique, structural systems and materials within the framework of spatial expectations. 6) Develop the ability to express their design ideas and architectural projects both conceptually and technically.

COURSE DEFINITION
Within the scope of the course, students are expected to design a housing project within an urban fabric in the city center. In the design process, which will start with preliminary studies on urban readings and daily practices, it is aimed that the architectural project will re-discuss the public space-private space concepts in today?s context and will include experiments on social and spatial sustainability and construction techniques.
