At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gain the ability to evaluate the built environmental data. 2) Understand the importance of location selection in terms of climate in building design, gain the ability to establish a natural and environmental relationship. 3) Acquire a design based on climate and energy awareness in the context of architecture for a sustainable life. 4) Learn the importance of lighting in buildings and acquire the ability to integrate aesthetics and functionality with space identity by recognizing basic concepts. 5) Learn the importance of acoustics in buildings and gain the ability to integrate aesthetics and functionality with space identity in sound design by recognizing basic concepts. 6) Learn the importance of fire safety in buildings and comprehend the need to create healthy abandonment conditions in case of an emergency.

COURSE DEFINITION
It is a course to examine the legislation regarding the comfort requirements of human and the performance criteria expected from the building environment, to provide the basic design principles and information, to provide the necessary information for the application of the building to the environmental control systems. Within the scope of the course; While the necessary criteria are explained for providing climatic and visual comfort conditions in the building, necessary information is provided for ensuring acoustic comfort conditions and fire safety.
