LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Design in 3D modeling environment using Autodesk Revit, which is one of the BIM tools. 2) Use the results of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the development of their designs. 3) Analyze the relationship of building components with the environment and with each other in building design using BIM technology. 4) Evaluate and construct parametric relationships in buildings and reveal their results with BIM technology. 5) Revail technological developments in BIM technology, which is an interdisciplinary working platform in building design, by raising awareness on the purpose of the BIM technologies.

COURSE DEFINITION | This course aims to support students to understand the benefits of Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies in project management and applications and to develop their computer aided drawing skills on the basis of BIM. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to produce architectural models and drawings using digital tools for design purposes. In addition, it is aimed to construct parametric relations with BIM-based requirements and to obtain correct inferences. In line with these purposes, students experience developing design solutions by working with Autodesk Revit, one of the BIM tools, through individual and/or group work. |
