LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand and analyze the building system.
2) Have theoretical and applied knowledge about building materials and systems and gain the ability to use them.
3) Can select suitable material for design and construction.
4) Learn to design building elements using building materials.
5) Learn to analyze the building structure using building elements.
6) Gain the ability to understand the behavior of different structural systems and to design these systems using different materials.

RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PROGRAMME COMPONENT-
COURSE DEFINITIONAt the end of this course, students are expected to have the necessary knowledge of materials and building systems. Within the scope of this course, students will be taught the skills of how to decide on material and structural systems, and how to build structural systems. While technical information is given to the student in the course, it will be ensured that the student can use this information with the applications.

5th Week Structure, Behavior of Structure Under Fundamental Loads
6th Week Building Systems (Masonry, Wood, Reinforced Concrete, Steel, Shell? etc.)
7th Week General Information About Reinforced Concrete Structures - Announcements of Homework 1
