LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Gain competence of communication and effective usage of Turkish 2) Gain competence of correlating, interpreting past, present and future in design field 3) Develope ability to think in a context 4) Communicate between historical, sociological and economical conditions and process of art and design 5) Competence of constituting relation between historical, communal and economic conditions and art and design processes

COURSE DEFINITION	This course aims to examine trans-formation of art in belonged geographical area in terms of social, cultural and historical aspects from Paleolithic era to the end of the 15th century. In this context, beginning with the early cultures in Anatolia, Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman eras are discussed.
