At the end of this course, the students; 1) To be able to analyze international trade policies such as international trade theories (traditional and new) and tariffs, quotas, voluntary export restrictions. 2) To analyze existing international trade problems and evaluate alternatives proposals. 3) Understand the importance of creating trade policies and the effects of interventionist policies.

COURSE DEFINITION
This course which is called International Economics and Trade deals with international trade policies in general as well as with the foreign trade policy and the applications of Turkey, specifically, regarding exporting, importing, free zones, foreign trade of services, practice of inward processing, defense and protection tools for foreign trade policy, international transportation and marketing activities. As known, international economics is a field of study that mainly consists of the essential components of international trade and international finance. Accordingly, theories that explain international trade and comparisons among these theories are being discussed. Similarly, basic subjects and historical development of international finance are also examined in this course.
