1) Gain general knowledge about the scope of biophysics and its applications.
2) Learn the measurement techniques in biophysics.
3) Understand the basics of physical characteristics of biological molecules.
4) Learn the basics of bioenergetics.

COURSE DEFINITIONBiophysical properties of body fluids, molecular interactions, molecular structure in living systems, biological membranes, ion channels, transport systems, biopotentials, membrane and action potential are examined.

3rd Week pH Buffers and importance of pH in the organisms
4th Week Radioactivity and biophysics of light

6th Week Biological Activities (biosynthesis, muscle contraction, neural transmission)
7th Week Bioenergetics
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week Thermodynamics
10th Week Physical features of enzymes
11th Week Molecular biophysics
12th Week Membrane potentials, electrical circuits and modelling
