LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Defines and exemplifies intracellular metabolic processes.
2) Based on the concepts of bioenergetics, makes energy calculations in metabolism.
3) Explain and write the breakdown and synthesis reactions of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.
4) Knowing the clinical importance of enzymes involved in metabolic processes, writes the connection with diseases by explaining a cause-effect relationship.
