At the end of this course, the students; 1) apply isolation methods for DNA, RNA and plasmid from the cell, and quantify these isolates, evaltuate the purity of samples. 2) apply basic genetic studies using Drosophila melanogaster, explain the basic terms related to patters of inheritance. 3) amplifies a gene by PCR method and knows, evaluates, and reports other uses of PCR in life and health sciences. 4) determine, analyze and discuss the expression level of a gene.

This course aim to enable students with learning of techniques such as DNA, RNA, plasmid DNA isolation, RT RT, gel electropheresis used in molecular biology, and practical information about these techniques.
