At the end of this course, the students; 1) Stress, Strain and loading types 2) Ability to analyze stress and deformation in axial loading 3) Ability to analyze stress and deformation in torsional loading 4) Ability to analyze stress and deformation in transverse loading 5) Ability to analyze stress and deformation in combined loading and use the Mohr circle method 6) Ability to design power transmission shafts 7) Ability to calculate slope and deflection of beams
