Music in pre-Islamic Turks.
2nd Week
Mehter music and its genres, sound systems in Mehter music, rhythm, composition forms, instruments, wind and percussion instruments, closing and after Mehterhane.
3rd Week
Musical culture in Anatolia before the Ottoman Empire
4th Week
Music education in the Ottoman Empire, Enderun-i Humayun, the formation phase of traditional Turkish classical music, Turkish music in the Fatih period and 15th century sources.
5th Week
The concept of maqam in Turkish Music, Religious Turkish music, Mosque and Lodge music, Non-religious composition forms.
6th Week
Traditional Turkish art music between the 15th and 19th centuries. Kar, composition, peşrev, mevlevi ritual forms.
7th Week
Ali Ufki Bey and Prince Dimitri Kantemir, Istanbul Palace music, Hafız Post, Mustafa Itri, Nayi Osman Dede, Tamburi Mustafa Çavuş, Tanburi Isak.

Polyphonic Turkish music in the Ottoman Empire.
13th Week
Music policy of the Republic; its effects on today's music culture, the change of Turkish music theory since the 20th century. Turkish music in the 1930s and 1940s.
14th Week
Turkish music until the 1950s.
