At the end of this course, the students; 1) will be able to write two-voice poliphonic dictations, hear four voice chord progressions and sight read pieces in five-sharp / five-flat keys.

1st Week | Dictation and reading exercises in keys with four sharp and four flats. | 2nd Week | Dictation and reading exercises in modulating to unrelated keys. | 3rd Week | Dictation exercises on connecting triads. | 4th Week | Progressions and expanded cadences in keys with four sharps and four flats. | 5th Week | Exercises on singing the top line of a three-voice piece while playing the bottom two. | 6th Week | Atonal dictation and reading exercises. | 7th Week | Three and four-voice reading exercises. | 8th Week | MID-TERM | 9th Week | Progressions and expanded cadences in keys with five sharps and five flats. | 10th Week | Dictation and reading exercises in keys with five sharp and five flats. | 11th Week | Four voice dictation exercises on the grand staff. | 12th Week | Exercises on singing the top line of a four-voice piece while playing the bottom three. | 13th Week | Reading exercises with changing clef signs. | 14th Week | Transposition exercises. |
