1) will be able to write two-voice poliphonic dictations, hear four voice chord progressions and sight read pieces in five-sharp / five-flat keys.

COURSE DEFINITIONProviding the student with tools to correctly and effectively read music in their own field as well as the ability to notate what they hear.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Dictation and reading exercises in keys with four sharp and four flats.
2nd Week Dictation and reading exercises in modulating to unrelated keys.
3rd Week Dictation exercises on connecting triads.
4th Week Progressions and expanded cadences in keys with four sharps and four flats.
5th Week Exercises on singing the top line of a three-voice piece while playing the bottom two.
6th Week Atonal dictation and reading exercises.
7th Week Three and four-voice reading exercises.
8th Week MID-TERM
9th Week Progressions and expanded cadences in keys with five sharps and five flats.
10th Week Dictation and reading exercises in keys with five sharp and five flats.
11th Week Four voice dictation exercises on the grand staff.
12th Week Exercises on singing the top line of a four-voice piece while playing the bottom three.
13th Week Reading exercises with changing clef signs.
14th Week Transposition exercises.
