COURSE DEFINITION	Main aspects of 3 part counterpoint.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Introduction to Counterpoint II course. Explanation of species exercises in 3 part counterpoint. 2nd Week Rules for writing beginnings and endings, and use of harmony in 3 part counterpoint. 3rd Week First species exercises in major and minor tonalities. 4th Week First species exercises in church modes. 5th Week Second species exercises in major and minor tonalities. 6th Week Second species exercises in church modes. 7th Week Third species exercises in major and minor tonalities. 8th Week Midterm exam 9th Week Fourth species exercises in 3 part. 10th Week Fifth species exercises in major and minor tonalities. 11th Week First species exercises in church modes. 12th Week Midterm exam 13th Week Mixed counterpoint exercises. 14th Week Mixed counterpoint exercises and analysis.
