COURSE DEFINITIONThe aim of this course is to improve the student's abilities to write a fugue.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week "Explaining the content and requirements of the course. Explaining the concept of theme."
2nd Week "Explaining the concept of the subject. Examining various examples from the literature."
3rd Week "Explaining the concept of answer. Explaining the types of answers (tonal answer, real answer). Examining various examples from the literature."
4th Week "Explaining the concept of answer. Explaining the types of answers (tonal answer, real answer). Examining various examples from the literature."
5th Week "Characteristics of subjects that require tonal answers and subjects that require real answers."
6th Week "Characteristics of subjects that require tonal answers and subjects that require real answers."
7th Week "The concept of countersubject. First modulation and its relation to topic selection. Episode part."
8th Week "The concept of countersubject. The first modulation and its relationship with the choice of subject. The part of the episode. The part of the episode. Determination of the homework topics for the semester: The student writes a fugue up to the first modulation with a theme chosen from among the themes presented. "
9th Week "Introduction to the exposition section. The uses of subject and countersubject concepts at the beginning of the development section."
10th Week "Introduction to the exposition pane. Basic techniques used in the melody in the development area."
11th Week "PRESENTATION OF TERM HOMEWORKS"
12th Week "Stretto concept and stretto types. Basic stretto applications in the development section. Determination of final homework topics: Writing stretto entries with a theme to be chosen from among 3 themes."
13th Week "Stretto concept and types of stretto. Problem solving approaches in stretto studies."
