COURSE DEFINITION	The aim of this course is to provide to be done the source-readings and analysis on different aspects of music.
COURSE CONTENTS	WEEK TOPICS 1st Week Texts on music: scope and contents. 2nd Week Music and knowledge: music theory and practise. 3rd Week Music and education: "music in ideal state". 4th Week Music and believes: music in various religions. 5th Week Music and society: "elits" and "folk". 6th Week Music and history: "periodical insights". 7th Week Music and philosophy: "what", "why" and "how". 8th Week Midterm. 9th Week Music and anthropology: different cultures, various voices. 10th Week Music and mathemathics: octave divisions and calculations. 11th Week Genres: "celestial" and "mundane" musics. 12th Week Instruments: classes and specialities. 13th Week Music and criticism: "makers" and "writers". 14th Week Music and popular culture: "industry" and "stars".
