1) learn how to interpret Jazz and other populer music styles and will gain appropriately use of their voice, breath and the stage.

COURSE DEFINITIONTo enchance vocal ability in popular and Jazz music styles. Preparing the vocalist for the stage in Jazz, Blues and Funk styles by providing compatibility between voice and body.
COURSE CONTENTS
WEEKTOPICS
1st Week Warm-up and cool-down techniques for before and after.
2nd Week Repertoire determination, tone selection, transposition. Ways to transfer learned breathing techniques to popular songs.
3rd Week Breathing: four stages of efficient breathing, different breathing techniques that affect interpretation.
4th Week Processing the piece in Blues form selected for the repertoire, techniques appropriate to the period.
5th Week Further interpretation studies for the song in Blues form selected for the repertoire, correcting articulation errors.
6th Week The use of vowels and consonants in different styles, exercises on this.
7th Week Handling the ballad piece selected for the repertoire, using the breath while singing the ballad, intonation and interpretation.
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Handling the selected Funk piece for the repertoire, 16 note articulation and proper intonation.
10th Week Registers and register mixing, sound ranges and range expansion techniques.
11th Week Processing the selected jazz standard for the repertoire, determining the period and interpretation,
12th Week Do not dwell on memorizing all the lyrics selected for the repertoire. Studies that will strengthen the bridge between interpretation and presentation.
13th Week Concentration on performance: performing selected songs on stage, use of space, poise and tone quality.
14th Week Sequence and serial performance of all songs selected for the repertoire.
