LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) evaluate, interpret and analyze the importance of the European Union in the context of economic integration, the contributions and developments provided by economic integration.
2) assess the successes and failures of the European Union, and comment, question and develop proposals within this framework.
3) evaluate fundemental basis of EU-Turkey relations, EU's perspective on Turkey, the main point and approaches where the relations are blocked, and the reasons and sources of the problems.
4) evaluate the EU's attitude and practices towards Turkey in the enlargement process.
5) get into contact with stakeholders via the interviews they conduct.

COURSE DEFINITIONIn the course of the European Union, the source of the movements related to the view of establishing a union in Europe, the development processes of the views defended, and the actual stages will be evaluated. The reasons for the unification of Europe are to put an end to wars and instabilities, to increase the level of economic development and welfare, to be an element of power and balance among the existing blocs in Europe, to contribute to the orderly, balanced and stable development of European unification in all international relations. it has been influential in the idea of unification. The establishment of the EU in the period from past to present on the unification of Europe has been one of the most important developments that yielded results among various initiatives.
