LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) An overview of the main areas of political sociology, 2) Ability to analyze political relations, 3) Ability to compare political and social relations 4) Understanding the basic social factors behind political problems and debates, the ability to identify and critically approach, 5) Apply the knowledge learned to political events and analyze political events from an analytical perspective evaluation skills

COURSE DEFINITION	This course evaluates the main themes and major studies in political sociology. After a general introduction to the course, many theoretical and fundamental issues in the field of political sociology will be examined. In this framework, first, the concepts of politics and power will be discussed; then, the main approaches in political sociology; economy and politics; civil society and politics; state and society; social movements; political authority; political culture; political participation; state and civil society; and religion and politics will be emphasized.
