COURSE DEFINITION
This course evaluates the main themes and major studies in political sociology. After a general introduction to the course, many theoretical and fundamental issues in the field of political sociology will be examined. In this framework, first, the concepts of politics and power will be discussed; then, the main approaches in political sociology; economy and politics; civil society and politics; state and society; social movements; political authority; political culture; political participation; state and civil society; and religion and politics will be emphasized.
