At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the structure and functioning of the financial system and each financial institution 2) Know how different financial institutions work 3) Know the regulations and legislation regarding financial institutions 4) Develop solution methods by seeing the problems faced by financial institutions 5) Examine the basic techniques and applications in the management of financial institutions 6) Identify the risks faced by different financial institutions and produces solutions

COURSE DEFINITION
An examination of the financial markets with emphasis on the linkage between saving and investment to create new wealth and to permit portfolio adjustments in the composition of existing wealth. The role of financial institutions and markets in our economy, and the understanding of the investment environment, money markets, bond markets, stock markets, derivative markets, foreign exchange markets and some other markets.
