LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know the basic concepts related to statistics 2) Know how to choose a sample 3) Calculate the descriptive statistics 4) Organize and analyze the data set 5) Calculate the confidence interval for the parameter 6) Know the basic concepts of probability

COURSE DEFINITION	This course covers Frequency Distributions, Graphical Descriptions, Measures of Central Tendency, Measures of Variability, Moments, Skewness, and Kurtosis. Introduction to Probability, Conditional Probability, Independency. Discrete Continuous Probability Distributions (Binomial, Poisson, Geometric and Hypergeometric) and Continuous Probability Distributions (Uniform, Normal and Exponential).
