LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Define basic macroeconomic concepts.
2) Explain how to measure the production and income of an economy.
3) Interpret the macroeconomic indicators such as unemployment, inflation and growth.
4) Describe how macroeconomic equilibrium is achieved.
5) Explain monetary and fiscal policy tools and their effects.
6) Interpret the current macroeconomic developments in written and visual sources.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on explaining and examining the basic concepts of macroeconomics. Measuring the country's income, unemployment, inflation, aggregate demand and supply, monetary and fiscal policies are among the main topics covered.
