LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Comprehending the student's use of materials in interior design as a design element together with other elements.
2) To learn the definition of materials used in interior design, their properties by grouping and application methods in construction.
3) Learning to design in the field of interior architecture in a way that embraces and prioritizes the physical, psychological and aesthetic needs of the user in the human-space relationship.
4) To ensure that furniture, fittings and all spatial elements in the interior are thought and designed in integrity.
5) To plan and implement design setups that can respond to different user groups, needs and different space setups in national and international contexts.
6) The interior will be able to produce creative, innovative, aesthetic and original spatial solutions by using different materials in interior design.
7) To produce sustainable and universal design solutions in an environmentally sensitive manner in choosing and deciding on interior materials.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe development of material design and technologies offers a versatile new contribution to design possibilities in architecture and interior architecture. In this course, the definition of materials used in interior design, their properties by grouping, types and application methods in construction are discussed.
