LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) The student gains theoretical knowledge and awareness about the design and context relationship process and elements of the interior space and its immediate environment.

3) On-site evaluation and analysis of the design, construction and restoration processes that make up the interior and its immediate surroundings

COURSE DEFINITIONThe interior design process and its relation with and function in this process are discussed with theoretical concepts and examples. The interior design concept, structure, spatial layout, human interface, sustainable and participatory design processes are handled separately, and the function of the immediate environment of the interior is evaluated through these criteria.

2nd Week Modern Interior Formation-Modern Architecture Movements and Interior Formation
3rd Week (1910-1960?s) Analysis of how the currents shape the interior through world examples
4th Week Contemporary Interior Formation- Post-World War II Interior Design, analysis through examples
5th Week Contemporary Interior Space Formation-Contemporary Architecture Movements and Interior Space Formation (1960s and later) Examining how the interior spaces are shaped through examples from the world
6th Week Contemporary Interior Formation-21. Key words of 21st Century Contemporary Interior Design. 21st Century Contemporary Interior Styles and Interior Formation Analysis through World Examples
