LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) The student perceives the necessity of using light as a design element in interior design.
2) Learns to think about indoor lighting decisions according to general design setup and environmental factors.
3) Understands that light, which is a design element in interior design, should be considered together with other elements such as color, texture and material.
4) Comprehends that interior furniture, equipment and all spatial elements should be considered and designed in integrity.
5) Learns to design lighting in the field of interior architecture by adopting and prioritizing the physical and psychological needs of the user.
6) Gains the ability to produce creative, innovative, aesthetic and original spatial solutions by using abstract and concrete concepts in interior lighting design.
7) Learns to produce sustainable and universal design solutions in an environmentally sensitive manner in interior lighting design.

COURSE DEFINITIONThe purpose of this course is to discuss the handling of interior lighting design decisions. In this course, the physical and aesthetic-psychological effects of lighting will be examined in interior design by considering lighting as an important design element as a tool and purpose in interior design.
