LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) is informed about the contribution of a film's composant elements to cinematic meaning. 2) obtains theoretical knowledge that will make them understand the relationship between film and reality. 3) learns how to approach and analyze a film.

COURSE DEFINITION	Film theories, pioneer film theorists, structural properties of cinema art, main elements that constitute a film and the relationship between them are studied; selected examples are examined.
