COURSE DEFINITION
The concept of sustainability, its historical development, the damage caused by the fashion industry to the world in all dimensions of sustainability, the importance of sustainability for the future of the world, the dimensions of sustainability: three circle model, practices with a sustainability approach in the fashion industry, concepts that emerged with the sustainability approach, principles of sustainable design. Completion of the project to reveal a fashion design product produced with a sustainable design philosophy.

1st Week
Giving information about the general process of the course, its scope, applications and projects to be carried out and making a general introduction.
2nd Week
What is the concept of sustainability? When, where and for what purpose did it emerge? Is sustainability a necessity? What is the importance of sustainability for the future of the world?
3rd Week
Dimensions of sustainability, three circle model. Meetings, congresses, protocols and agreements, laws and government policies on sustainability held around the world.
4th Week
Damages caused by the Fashion Industry to the Earth in every dimension of sustainability: Environmental damages. Sociological harms. Economic damages.
5th Week
Concepts that emerged with the sustainability approach: Slow concept (slow fashion, slow city, slow food), Eco fashion, green fashion, ecological fashion, ethical fashion concepts. Fair Trade practice, "Good Cotton" within the scope of Good Agriculture practices. better cotton) concept. Footprint Concept (water footprint, carbon footprint), Carbon Exchange concept
6th Week
The necessity of sustainability for the future of the world and subsequent generations. The role of the state, society, industries and individuals. The necessity of sustainable practices in individual life. Future scenarios. Awareness of responsibility towards future generations. Is a sustainable life possible? What can we do. Sustainable practices. How can we individually contribute?
7th Week

8th Week
Researching environmentally friendly, sustainability, green design concepts, recycling and recovery practices and their current uses
9th Week
By doing research on waste clothes and materials that are thought to have reached the end of their useful life, investigating their recycling and recovery possibilities in the creative textile design process, researching the possibilities of domestic and organic waste or other value-added dye/printing applications in recycling processes.
10th Week
Evaluation of recycling and recovery practices of today's artists/designers and different cultures
11th Week
In line with the techniques researched and deemed ecologically appropriate, different fabrics or clothes, materials, etc. that are to be recycled are produced in the workshop. conduct experimental studies on
