1st Week Relationship between fashion and sociology.
2nd Week Basic concepts in fashion sociology.
3rd Week Sociological analysis, theory and method
4th Week Introduction to fashion sociology theories
5th Week Men's clothing, establishment of masculine identities, popular culture and women's identity struggle.
6th Week Gender ambivalence, eroticism and the dialectic of chastity.
7th Week Phases of the fashion process-Anti fashion trends
8th Week Midterm
9th Week Social status, alternative clothing, from class fashion to consumer fashion.
10th Week Instability in status, the relationship between culture industry and fashion.
11th Week Fashion and social structure in Far Eastern societies.
12th Week Social structure and fashion perception in the Middle East, Islam, Ottoman and Republican eras.
13th Week G. Simmel's theory of fashion.
