At the end of this course, the students; 1) can evaluate the development of clothing culture chronologically during the period of Anatolian civilizations. 2) identify the development of concepts related to clothing in the historical process. 3) examine the effects of civilizations, social, economic, cultural and political developments on societies according to periods.

COURSE DEFINITION
Examination of Anatolian clothing as expressed in art and written sources, starting from the Bronze Age cultures in Anatolia (Hittite-Assyrian Trade colonies; 2 thousand BC) until the Late Byzantine period (13th century AD). In this context, the place of clothing in administrative, military and daily life, the material properties used in clothing.
