At the end of this course, the students; 1) can explain the basic professional concepts. 2) define the concepts of design, jewelery design. 3) explain the similarities and differences of these concepts with examples. 4) can discuss the relationships between the elements of the product design process (designer-product, user-manufacturer). 5) explain form, material, ergonomics, production management, cost, brand and marketing relations in product design. 6) describe the stages of the design process. 7) can use the knowledge in the history of jewelery design at a basic level. 8) explain the major periods in this history process with examples. 9) get to know the jewelery designers in Turkey and the World and can show examples of the products they design.
