LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Learn the definition and types of ornamentation.
2) Learn the points to be considered in the selection of ornaments suitable for the model.
3) Make ornamentation works with sewing technique.
4) Make ornamental works made with hand embroidery.
5) Perform sewing techniques studies on fancy fabrics.

RECOMMENDED OPTIONAL PROGRAMME COMPONENT-
COURSE DEFINITIONApplication of clothing decoration techniques such as rib, piping, pleated-pile stamp, quilting, ruffle-smocking, flounce, embroidered, sequin beadwork, applique, Chinese needle, openwork, lace and tulle sewing on fabrics that require garment decoration and special sewing techniques.

1st Week Definition of ornament and types of ornaments and points to be considered in the selection of ornaments suitable for the model.
2nd Week Ornaments made with sewing technique; Rib work. Biye work. Pili-pili stamp work.
3rd Week Quilting,Ruffle work
4th Week shirring work; straight shirring, water shirring,
5th Week schematic shirring
6th Week Flywheel work.
7th Week Çıma-gaze study, Enkürste study.
8th Week Embroidery techniques, simple embroidery needles works.
9th Week Simple embroidery needles work.
10th Week Stamp bead work.
11th Week Applique work.
12th Week Embellishments made with machine embroidery.
13th Week Decorations made with ready-made materials, Sustone and ready-made mortars.
14th Week Cords,laces and scallops.
