|LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT
||At the end of this course, the students;
1) Will explain the different theories and concepts used in traffic psychology.
2) Will explain the different assessment methods used in the field.
3) Will compare the changes in the brain over time lead to differences in driver behavior.
4) Will define about how different "normal" and "abnormal" cognitive processes effect driver behavior.
5) Will establish the factors related to risky driver behaviors.

|COURSE DEFINITION||In this course, students have knowledge of human factor and elements that affect human behavior in traffic. How safer driver behavior can be achieved, how accidents can be prevented, and how traffic safety can be ensured are the main aims of this course. In this context, attention and perception problems, and substance use and traffic topics are covered in this course. Developing measurement tools to test and evaluate driver behavior, skills, and attitudes and rehabilitation and education of the drivers are also covered.
