At the end of this course, the students; 1) Evaluate emotion regulation theories. 2) Establish a relationship between emotion regulation and psychopathology. 3) Evaluates the development of emotion regulation. 4) Makes the connection between cognition and emotion regulation. 5) Compares emotion regulation applications.

COURSE DEFINITION | During this course, relations between psychopathologies and individual?s emotional capacity includes awareness, emotions related reactions and experiences in terms of intensity, length, variation are focused. In this context it is aimed to make students learn emotion regulation process, individual differences about this process and varied emotion regulation components according to specific psychopathologies. In addition to these theoretical acquisitions, students are expected to experience basic emotional regulation techniques and gain practical skills. |
