At the end of this course, the students; 1) They can exemplify the effects of groups in daily life. 2) They can evaluate the effect of groups on the individual. 3) They can distinguish in-group and inter-group behavior. 4) They can discuss current group relations in the context of group theories. 5) They can compare the causes and possible solutions of intra-group and intergroup conflicts.

COURSE DEFINITION
The aim of this course is to provide information about internal dynamics of group and group behavior of the individual. In this course, students learn about the factors affecting formation, development, and maintenance of groups within the framework of social psychology theories and models. Culture and structure of the groups, groups, organizations, and community relations will be addressed. The individual-group relationship, mutual dependency and conflict, individuals' attachment to group and tendency to be involved to the group will be discussed as well as in decision-making within the group, leadership and team management.
