At the end of this course, the students; 1) Acquire knowledge on fundamental concepts and theories regarding close relationships. 2) Become acquainted with dynamics of close relationships and related variables. 3) Learn analyzing and interpreting ongoing relationship in their environment from a scientific point of view. 4) Become acquainted with research methods that are utilized in close relationship research.

COURSE DEFINITION
The purpose of this course is to explain the mechanisms through which gender is constructed and perpetuated and the implication of gender for different aspects of the life. Students will learn about gender differences and similarities, perpetuation of gender stereotypes, and the effects of gender construction for the individual, relationships, family, society, and labor force from the perspective of differing psychological orientations.
