LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT |
At the end of this course, the students; 1) Will learn the aim and fundamental concepts of anthropology. 2) Will develop skills to analyze the contribution of anthropological studies to psychological science. 3) Will learn the different methods to analyze the effect of culture on human behavior. 4) Will learn about the way gender roles, family and marriage relations, and religious rituals develop in different cultures and present scientific hypotheses for new scientific research related to these issues.

COURSE DEFINITION | Human behavior, cultural and social factors underlying the main topics discussed in this course and topics of anthropological research methods, language and communication, ethnicity, political systems, gender roles, family, marriage, religion, art, globalization and multiculturalism are available. Course is designed to emphasize the relationship between anthropology and psychology sciences. In addition, anthropological variables which may provide information about the understanding and analysis of behavior are discussed. |
