At the end of this course, the students; 1) develop sub-skills of listening, speaking, writing, reading 2) learn to take notes while listening lectures, interviews, podcasts and classroom discussions 3) make effective talks by using 21st century themes and skills, such as global awareness, information literacy and critical thinking 4) interpret information by analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating graphics and infographics 5) learn the meaning and use of language associated with different listening types, using appropriate strategies to work out meaning 6) develop speaking skills to emphasize key details, to talk about casual relationships, to state position, to help listeners follow the ideas and to express the view strongly. 7) explore life changing stories and develop understanding of the world.
