LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) develop sub-skills of listening, speaking, writing, reading
2) learn to take notes while listening lectures, interviews, podcasts and classroom discussions
3) make effective talks by using 21st century themes and skills, such as global awareness, information literacy and critical thinking
4) interpret information by analyzing, synthesizing and evaluating graphics and infographics
5) learn the meaning and use of language associated with different listening types, using appropriate strategies to work out meaning
6) develop speaking skills to emphasize key details, to talk about casual relationships, to state position, to help listeners follow the ideas and to express the view strongly.
7) explore life changing stories and develop understanding of the world.

COURSE DEFINITIONENGL 302 is an Academic English course for language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing) at B2+ level. Learners are encouraged to study independently and apply the course content to their chosen discipline.

3rd Week Unit 2 Speaking, listening for multiple viewpoints, note-taking by focusing on dates and events
4th Week Unit 2 Speaking, watching for main ideas and details, thinking critically by interpreting an infographic
5th Week Unit 3 Speaking, listening for drawing conclusions, note taking the sequence of events
6th Week Unit 3 Watching for main ideas and details, thinking critically by interpreting and evaluating
7th Week Unit 4 Speaking, watching for main ideas and details, note-taking causes and effects
8th Week Midterm Exam
9th Week Unit 5 Speaking, listening for recognizing repetition, thinking critically by interpreting and personalizing
