At the end of this course, the students; 1) will be able to analyze postmodern American poetry in the light of literary theory, 2) will be able to discuss the characteristics of various schools of American poetry in the second half of the twentieth century.

In this course, modern and contemporary American poetry is studied in terms of genre and contents through a critical, theoretical and historical perspective.
