COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses upon developing pre-writing techniques (such as brainstorming, freewriting, listing, outlining), writing a coherent and unified paragraph with a valid controlling idea, and works towards the writing of fully developed essays. The course also includes issues of style, grammar, vocabulary, and dictionary use, so as to build up language awareness and proficiency to be applied in writing.
