LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand the definition, scope and importance of the concept of Logistics Management.
2) Learn what strategic and financial approaches are in the field of logistics.
3) Understand how to apply demand management and its importance
4) Know how to perform customer service and its importance.
5) Identify the issues that need to be considered in purchasing.
6) Understand how to carry out stock and warehouse management and distribution management and its importance.
7) Know how to apply logistics simulation
8) Know how logistics is applied in international markets.
9) Understand the importance of the decisions regarding the operation of the logistics unit of the enterprises and gain the ability to analyze the causes of the problems that prevent businesses from performing superior performance in their logistics activities.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course provides students with an insight as to fundamental concepts of logistics and their role in organizations and supply chain system. The course will focus on various concepts relevant to logistics management such as information technology, organizational and managerial issues, supply chain management, procurement, demand management, order management, customer service, inventory management, warehousing management, packaging and materials handling and transportation management. Moreover, the international logistics concept will be examined in this course.
