LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Establishing connections with the basic art and design skills to other areas
2) Thinking in context
3) Abilty to work in a particular subject limitations
4) Expressing conceptual thinking and thoughts verbally and visually.
5) Solving design problems and generating orginal ideas
6) Ability to comply with existing laws and regulations and to take ethical responsibility
7) Developing and monitoring the changing technology and choosing the appropriate self
8) Having the basic technical and application information regarding cinematography and transfering these knowledges while filming
9) Having the basic technical and application information about sound and voiceover and transfering these knowledges while filming
10) To be able to make the moving images by effects
11) Having the basic principles while filming an animation and transfering these knowledges while filming
12) In art design field ability to work interdisciplinary

COURSE DEFINITIONIn this course students will be learned how to find or make the sounds that they need for their animations. Students will be find the most exact sound for the each motion and will learn how to apply to image.

1st Week Introduction. What is sound?
2nd Week Sound types, acoustics, sound in cinema.
3rd Week Microphones, effects, EQ, frequencies.
4th Week What is foley? Sound library.
5th Week On-screen/off-screen sounds.
6th Week Assessment.
7th Week Recording in studio.
8th Week Voiceover.
9th Week Sound editing with ProTools.
10th Week Assessment.
11th Week ProTools EQ.
12th Week Using mixer with ProTools.
13th Week Project.
14th Week Project.
