At the end of this course, the students; 1) Learn biomaterials used in heart-vessel system. 2) Learn about blood and understand the interaction with biomaterials. 3) Learn the methods used for increasing the biocompatibility of bio-materials. 4) Learn the methods used in the surface analysis of Cardiovascular biomaterials. 5) Understand the body's reactions to foreign bodies. 6) Gain information about Sterilization and the methods used.
