LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) To learn similarities and differences of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells
2) To understand the fundamentals of basic aseptic techniques, sterilization and applications
3) To learn fundamentals of prokaryotic cell and plant tissue culture techniques and their biomedical applications
4) To learn 2-D and 3-D animal tissue culture techniques and their biomedical applications
5) To have knowledge on the cytotoxicity and genotoxicity studies using culture techniques
6) To discuss current applications on an individually assigned project basis
