LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understand usefulness and limitation of selected Management Science techniques tofind solutions to analytical models.
2) Use selected software to generate computer solutions of the models.
3) Learn, through case studies, the applications of Management Science to findsolutions to real life business problems including those in global environment.
4) Learn not to confuse algorithm with software, and software with technique.
5) Demonstrate skills in communicating the analysis and results of business decisionproblems and to work as a member of a team.
6) Develop analytical skills in structuring and analysis (scientific method) of businessdecision problems which characterize the field of Management Science.
7) Develop awareness of the complimentary nature of the rational and behavioralapproaches to decision making and planning.
8) Use the knowledge gained from this course to continue life-long learning in decisiontechnologies to aid business decision making and planning.
