LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Know sampling methods.
2) Know the difference between sample and the population
3) Can calculate descriptive statistics
4) Can organize and analyze the data related to his/her fields
5) Identify the size of sample
6) Describes the confidence intervals
7) Can describe and test the statistical hypothesis
8) Know the phases of hypothesis testing
9) Can define the statistical problems and offer solutions based on evidence and research.
10) Can solve the current problems by making use of statistical methods.
11) Can use SPSS programme.

COURSE DEFINITIONThis course focuses on developing the basic concepts in statistics which are necessary to analyze different research questions in education. The course will be conducted by analyzing various data sets by SPSS program and the results of SPSS outputs will be interpreted.
