LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT	At the end of this course, the students; 1) Know why organizations exist 2) Know how organizations are structured 3) Know about organizational environment 4) Can identify practical managerial problems at work and come up with solutions to these problems and take charge 5) Can design an organization, develop an organizational strategy, and put them into practice by taking into consideration environmental conditions and organizational constraints

COURSE DEFINITION	It is an introductory course that covers the basic functions of business. Introductory information about the basic functions of the business such as management-organization, marketing, production, accounting and finance is given. Within this framework, the relations of the business with the social and economic environment and with other businesses are examined.
