At the end of this course, the students; 1) Understand the Turkish economy at the macro level 2) Evaluate the basic components, characteristics, structure, problems, history and basic dynamics of the economy within the context of causality. 3) Deal with the physical conditions, sectoral structures, production factors, national and international political and economic environment, economic thoughts and policies, which reveal the current economic structure with their success and depression, within specific time periods. 4) Gain a global analysis ability by evaluating the Turkish economy, which has been articulated in the world economy for more than 30 years and has become a part of the global economy to some extent, at an international level. 5) Research how the Turkish economy will develop under the global epidemic conditions experienced in the last two years and what kind of economic policies it needs.

COURSE DEFINITION
The primary aim of the course is to provide students with an understanding of the Turkish economy with macro data. Understanding the Turkish economy will be possible by evaluating the basic components, characteristics, structure, problems, history and basic dynamics of the economy in terms of causality. The physical conditions, sectoral structures, production factors, national and international political and economic environment, economic thoughts and policies, which reveal the current economic structure with its success and depression, will be discussed within specific time periods. In this context, economic development processes and economic policies will be presented in periods since the foundation of the Republic. The developments in the global economy in the new century, and finally, the problems experienced in the Turkish economy in the global epidemic environment and possible new economic dynamics will be discussed and the framework of the new economic policies that Turkey needs will be tried to be drawn.
