LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT At the end of this course, the students;
1) Understands how Western and environmental economies have developed since the 16th century and the main forces behind their evolution.
2) Understand the investigation and analysis of the discovery of the New World, impact of overseas trade, expansion of Europe, capital flows and colonial policies, economic developments and industrial revolution in Western Europe, and the principal economic events during the twentieth century.
