At the end of this course, the students; 1) The European Union expresses a way of life and cultural unity beyond being a geographical continent, 2) The EU is the most comprehensive and successful example of the international integration movement, 3) The EU follows a common economic policy, 4) The EU is one of the biggest actors of the global economy, 5) TR-EU relations have a long history like the 1963 Ankara Agreement and "areas of resistance" emerged in the membership process, 6) The TR-EU customs union has caused serious structural changes in the industrial sector of Turkey, 7) Understand that the customs union needs to be renewed according to today's conditions.

COURSE DEFINITION
In this course, first of all, European philosophy and European identity and the historical development of the Union are discussed. In the second stage, the EU will be examined in the context of international economic integration, then the EU's Common Agriculture, Trade, Industry, Competition and Fiscal Policies will be presented. In addition, the formation of the Monetary Union and the transition process of the EU to the Political Union through monetary union are examined, the Community Budget and Social Policies are presented as an example of the EU's financial and economic functioning mechanism. roadmaps will be discussed and Turkey's position in this new policy formation will be evaluated.
