COURSE DEFINITION
This course is focused on developing an understanding of clinical social work practice with criminals in prisons, probation services, juvenile and adult services. Attention will be given to issues of the rehabilitation and the therapy of offenders and also the unjustly treated persons.

Juvenile justice and social work. The role and functions of social worker in the juvenile justice system.
6th Week
Social work with juvenile delinquents. Practice of social work intervention methods and techniques Case study.
7th Week
Child abuse and social work.
8th Week
Mid term exam.
9th Week
Forensic social work with adult offenders. The role and functions of social workers in the execution institutions like prisons.
10th Week
Practice of social work intervention methods and techniques with the adult offenders. Case study.
11th Week
Probation services and social work.
12th Week
Practice of social work intervention methods and techniques in the probation services. Case study.

Victimology and social work with victims. Case study.
